Bob Lam is the company owner and operator of Total Picture Home Inspections.  He lives in Oakton, VA, within Northern Virginia.  In his free time, Bob enjoys landscaping, exploring the world with friends, motorcycling and sports cars, and even getting in a round or two of golf.  He looks for opportunities to add to the community and give extra attention to people in need.

Bob is a native Virginian, graduating from Virginia Tech and serves on various committees as well as being a guest lecturer.  He has lived and worked around the world but moved permanently to the Northern Virginia area in 1979.  He has worked in various industries to include government services contracting as well as the real estate multiple listing service industry where he held an executive position with the top firm that supported MLSs around the country, to include then Northern Virginia Board of Realtors and Northern Virginia Multiple Listing Service.  His MLS support background gains him a working knowledge of the real estate industry, and perhaps more important, an understanding of the unique business relationships among real estate brokers/agents and their home buying and selling clients.

Bob earned his home inspection certification through AHIT, the leading provider of home inspection training, and through InterNACHI, the world’s largest association of professional home inspectors.  As an InterNACHI certified inspector, Bob abides by their strict Code of Ethics and stays on top of industry standards using the best educational resources available.  Bob is licensed by the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Registration with additional licenses in new residential construction, UAV drone piloting, among others.

Bob enjoys working with people during the homebuying process and helping them understand their property.  He knows that your new home is one of the most important purchases you’ll ever make, and your satisfaction is his top priority.
